Improvements
- The latest version has a simple set-up process that collects your user information and preferences.
- The best thing is – you can now see SugarCRM 6 on your blackberry, iPad or iPhone.
- A shortcut bar allows one to create contacts, leads & opportunities, schedule calls and meetings right from your homepage. Isn’t’ it amazing!
- It has got great search capabilities context-aware Global Search field which filters search results based on the module in use.
- SugarCRM has improved currency handling and formatting capabilities like – all numbers will be stored unformatted in the SugarBean and all formatting of the fields will be handled by the SugarFields.
- You can run Sugar across different cloud environments, including Sugar On-Demand, Microsoft Azure, Amazon EC2 or your own private cloud.
- New UI “Skins” [P ro/Ent only] – This includes improvements in the look and feel of the application, navigation within the application, and new user setup assistance.
- There are a wide range of Studio/Module Builder enhancements. Some of them are — ability to change the properties of out-of-the-box fields, ability to customize out-of-the-box field lengths, ability to customize the size of text area fields, ability to customize Quick Create views for custom modules built in Module Builder and lot more.
- Administrators can create Calculated Value fields based on formulas involving mathematical functions and other fields in the same module.
- You can now view Twitter feeds using the Twitter Connector from the Detail View of records in standard and custom modules.
- The SugarCRM Professional Version now includes the following language packs like – Bulgarian, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese and lots more.
- The Upgrade Wizard now contains a “Confirm Layout” page which allows administrators to choose whether to append new fields in the default modules to custom module layouts during the upgrade.
- Lastly, the new version now supports the famous google chrome browser.
